Gingival Esthetics
Reshaping the gumline to balance out a 'gummy' smile or uneven gum edges.

What it treats
A smile where the gums cover too much of the tooth (a 'gummy smile'), or where the gumline is uneven from tooth to tooth, can be reshaped to show more of the natural tooth and create a more balanced look.
What's involved
Using a laser or standard surgical technique, excess gum tissue is carefully removed or reshaped under local anaesthetic. It's often paired with veneers or whitening as part of a broader smile makeover.
Is it painful?
It's done under local anaesthetic, so the procedure itself is comfortable — some tenderness for a few days afterward is normal.
How long until it heals?
Initial healing is around 1–2 weeks, though the gums continue to settle into their final shape over a couple of months.
