IV Sedation
For patients whose dental anxiety makes treatment genuinely difficult, IV sedation keeps you relaxed and comfortable throughout.

What it is
IV sedation is delivered through a small cannula in your arm, and brings on a deeply relaxed, drowsy state. You're not unconscious — you can still respond if needed — but most people remember very little of the appointment afterward.
Who it's for
This is most often used for patients with significant dental anxiety, a strong gag reflex, or longer/more involved procedures like multiple extractions or implant placement in one sitting.
Is it safe?
Yes — it's administered and monitored by trained staff throughout the appointment, with your vital signs tracked the whole time.
Can I drive home afterward?
No — you'll need someone to drive you home and ideally stay with you for the rest of the day, as the drowsy effects can linger for several hours.
